Responsibilities
Improve data center network availability and efficiency through software development.
Develop network monitoring infrastructure, and optimize the data collection, processing and visualization pipeline.
Create software defined networking (SDN) control system to automate scheduling and management of network
resources.
Develop network troubleshooting and mitigation tools to reduce incident response time and improve availability.
Build network emulation platforms and verification tools to improve safety of network operations.
Collaborate with network operation and maintenance teams to support other infrastructure services including but not
limited to compute and storage on troubleshooting, and resource deployment optimization.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Must have a PhD or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Networking, or a related field, and 2 years of related work and/or research experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Designing, implementing, and developing large-scale distributed systems using Python, C/C++, Java, Bash, or JavaScript;
Performing system modeling, designing distributed protocols, and applying mathematical optimization theories (including Linear/Convex Programming and Integer Programming) to achieve provable performance for large-scale, complex networks;
Researching and developing routing and scheduling algorithms to improve system performance including throughput and latency;
Designing network protocols and data structures for large-scale, multi-agent communication networks with low overhead; and
Preparing technical documentation, including one of the following: (1) technical initiatives; (2) design proposals; or (3) publishing conference or journal papers.
