Reporting to the Medical Director, the Assistant Medical Director, Gender and Sexual Health oversees gender affirming care, gynecology, and sexual health care within Student Health and Counseling, ensuring high-quality clinical care. The individual must demonstrate an affinity for a diverse student population in a college setting and support a mission of student-centered care. This role collaborates closely with counseling, nursing, medicine, and the Public Health and Wellbeing team.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a comprehensive, accessible, and culturally competent sexual health, gynecology and gender-affirming care program including program utilization, outcomes, and satisfaction to evaluate effectiveness and make improvements.
- Provide supervision and performance evaluations of assigned clinical providers.
- Provide direct primary care to students; perform routine physicals, provide routine and episodic gynecological/ reproductive care, gender affirming care, and sexual health counseling, initiation and management of PrEP, PEP and doxy PEP, STI screening and treatment.
- Provide consultation for clinical colleagues who provide sexual health and gender affirming care, develop, review, and revise patient care policies and procedures.
- Contribute to, implement and monitor quality assurance and accreditation activities in conjunction with Medical Director and other staff.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of recent and relevant experience required.
- Current licensure as CRNP (Master's degree required), MD, or DO in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from an accredited university. Board certification in specialty required.
