Overview:
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
SJG is at a pivotal moment in the development of its Regional Programs, with new hubs poised to be established in every region and new structures being created, including, for the first time, a Vice-President to oversee the Regional Programs. The Program Manager will play a central role in conceptualizing and implementing this transformation, working closely with the new VP and with teams across SJG. Because this is a new position, the responsibilities will evolve over time, which means that the Program Manager will have an opportunity to shape their role.
Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will be responsible for:
Leading efforts to ensure greater coherence in St. Jude Global’s work, including in the areas of programming, governance, and engaging with key partners;
Rapidly distilling actionable insights from diverse data sources to shape the development of new strategies, systems, and approaches;
Supporting the development of cross-regional initiatives;
Serving as an internal resource to support the development of the strategies of regional teams;
Actively engaging to move multiple ambitious initiatives from idea to operational reality;
Supporting the process of bringing together teams across SJG to co-design new systems and approaches for the Regional Programs;
Collaborating with SJG teams to develop and implement plans for the next phase of SJG’s regional work, including how the regional hubs will interact with team at St. Jude;
Aligning regional program work with the mission of St. Jude Global and the St. Jude Children Research Hospital’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree required;
Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MPA/MPP, MPH) preferred.
Minimum Experience:
4+ years experience in program management and delivery.
5+ years of experience in consulting and/or program management, ideally in an international context; preferred;
Experience designing and managing programs with focus on customer needs.
Experience in program budget tracking, reporting and risk management.
Experience providing guidance and mentorship within program management team.
Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects.
Experience in designing and leading processes that bring together diverse actors to reach agreement on challenging issues;
Experience with strategy development, business model development, and/or organizational design;
Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision-making ;
Experience working in different countries and/or cultural contexts preferred;
Experience working in a decentralized organization with multiple offices preferred.
