Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

This position will work in the Injection Molding Department. 

The shift is “C” shift (con ops schedule) shift differential will be 15%. Work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday one week and then Wednesday Thursday the following week. Total of 60 hours one week and 24 hours the following week. 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

 

General Description:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating injection molding machines safely and efficiently while ensuring parts meet quality standards. This role follows established work instructions, performs routine visual inspections, and supports consistent production by identifying and communicating issues promptly.

 

Able to perform all duties of Operator and Inspector as well as duties unique to Setup Operator:

 

    • Operate injection molding machines according to established work instructions, safety guidelines, and production schedules.
    • Perform visual inspections and basic dimensional checks to ensure parts meet quality standards.
    • Remove, handle, and package molded parts properly to prevent damage or contamination.
    • Monitor machine operation for alarms, defects, or abnormalities and notify the Processor or Group Leader promptly.
    • Complete required production paperwork, part counts, labels, and traceability records accurately.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
    • Follow all safety requirements, including PPE use, hot surface awareness, and proper ergonomics.
    • Support efficient changeovers and shift handoffs by communicating machine status and issues.
    • Adhere to quality, production, and safety policies at all times.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Education / Experience: 

  • Must successfully complete print reading and demonstrate measuring skills.
  • Must be able to use a microscope to inspect parts
  • Attention to 5S+1 and teamwork is required.
  • Must successfully pass color blindness screening
  • HS Diploma or GED is preferred
