About the role

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Senior Wealth Writer/Editor leads the development of sophisticated, compliant, and compelling content within the wealth management and financial services space, as well as the insurance space. This role blends high-level editorial judgment with subject-matter expertise in investing, financial planning, retirement, estate planning, and broader wealth strategy topics relevant to a wide range of B2C and B2B audiences.

 

The ideal candidate is an experienced storyteller who understands affluent and high-net-worth audiences, can translate complex financial concepts into clear and engaging narratives, and thrives in a fast-paced content marketing agency environment.

 

For consideration, candidates must have a strong background specifically in wealth/financial writing and must be able to supply a portfolio/work samples with examples of financial writing.

 

We are open to either a Senior Writer/Editor or an Associate Creative Director position dependent upon the candidate and level of experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Write and edit long- and short-form content including but not limited to thought leadership articles, white papers, articles, executive thought leadership and bylines, website copy, social content and video scripts.
  • Collaborate with strategists to align content to client business goals and audience personas.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage freelance writers with financial expertise.
  • Review, edit, and refine freelance submissions to ensure strategic alignment, quality, and compliance readiness.
  • Develop brand and product expertise with new and existing Pace financial services clients
  • Understand the impact of AI on web search, and apply best practices to work for findability through chat queries
  • Actively participate in brainstorm and ideation sessions
  • Create presentation slides for ideas, outlines and assets
  • Present creative work internally and externally
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Art, Video and Strategy peers
  • Work with client service partners to receive, understand and revise against client comments on deliverables

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Finance or a related field, or equivalent education and related training

 

Experience:

 

5+ years of experience as a financial writer in a fast-paced environment. Agency or in-house content team experience preferred.

 

Skills:

 

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and a high attention to detail
  • Strong interviewing and storytelling skills
  • Accurate and thorough research skills, whether using client-provided materials or conducting desk research
  • Excellent communication skills, including client-facing public speaking and internal public speaking confidence
  • Self-motivated team member who can take direction and work independently or collaboratively
  • Deep understanding of the emotional and tactical needs for target audiences, channels and platforms
  • Ability to absorb “The Strategic Why” presented in briefs and create work that solves for that need and aligns with brand objectives and brand identity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Figma software suite and experience with Adobe Creative Suite are a plus.

 

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • The salary for this position will range from $65,000-$75,000 for a Senior Editor role in a non-major metro ($85,000-$95,000 for major metros) and $80,000-$90,000 for an Associate Creative Director in a non-major metro ($100,000-$110,000 for major metros) depending on experience, education, geographical location, and other factors.
