Position: Field Applications Engineer (Schaumburg, Illinois)
Duties:
- Provide field applications support to strategic and key customers for broad product portfolio including data converters, amplifiers, radio-frequency (RF) devices, power conversion, mixed signal, and embedded processor applications.
- Participate in customer visits to provide, present and interpret design, application and service information, and provide support for design, reliability and maintenance problems.
- Propose system solutions to customers and developing and proposing new products to Product Lines.
- Train customers on solutions and products and Product Lines, Sales, and Applications on system requirements.
- Identify key opportunities and position best solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Product Lines' Management, Marketing, and Application and with key customers.

May work-from-home 2 days per week
40% domestic travel in order to visit customers to provide, present and interpret design, application and service information, as well as provide support for design, reliability and maintenance problems
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus one (1) year of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
Specific skills/other requirements – At least one (1) year of experience, gained at any time, which must have involved:
- Power, data conversion, amplifier, radio-frequency, embedded processor and mixed signal application circuit design;
- Using lab measurement and troubleshooting skills along with software/firmware debug ability; FPGA and processor product research, selection, and programming;
- Testing new products with the purpose of collecting performance data and generating official datasheet plots;
- Simulating, modeling, and using sales tools including LTspice, LTPowerCAD, MSDynamics;
- Delivering technical schematics and block diagrams and providing schematic level electronic solutions tailored to meet detailed specifications;
- Designing, developing, and testing customized demo circuits;
- Delivering convincing presentations to and working with all levels of Management, Sales, Engineering, and customers; and
- Must have solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication.

Salary: $77,400.00 - $116,100.00/year
