About the role

Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine, is seeking full-time faculty at the rank of assistant professor. Clinical responsibilities include attending on the Transitions of Care Consult service, precepting residents in the academic internal medicine-pediatrics clinic, being the primary care physician to a panel of internal medicine and pediatric patients seeing patients in our academic primary care clinic, and/or affiliated sites, as well as opportunities to attend on the inpatient general internal medicine teaching service, consult services, and/or other clinical programs, including the Adult Developmental Disability Clinic. Educational responsibilities will include teaching students from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and residents from the University of Chicago Internal Medicine and Med-Peds residency programs. Scholarly activity can be either self-identified or aligned with established section and departmental interests and priorities. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med/Peds).
