The Boeing CompanyBoeing is hiring for a Senior Lab Technician to work at our Pleasanton CA facility.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops, maintains, and releases electrical/mechanical drawings.
- Manages, interprets, and develops design, test, and analytical requirements.
- Coordinates, manages, and leads activities, including lab maintenance and repairs, and personnel training.
- Collaborates with cross-functional groups, internal partners, and external suppliers to meet work objectives and resolve problems.
- Performs internal peer reviews and collaborate with colleagues in the team.
- Participates in design reviews.
- Validates engineering system design and functionality.
- Works with hardware and software design engineers to bring-up and debug new board designs.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex laboratory and test-related problems including component level debug of circuit boards.
- Performs design verification testing and supports post-production activities.
- Follows and up-holds company lab guidance and standards to ensure compliance.
- 10+ years of relevant experiences working in engineering lab.
- Self-motivator and take ownership of work assignments and projects.
- Ability to execute multiple project and work assignments with shifting priorities.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years of relevant experience working in engineering labs.
- Experience with design tools to document and maintain configuration control.
- Familiar with schematic capture and circuit board layout tools
- Experience working with circuit board development, troubleshoot, debug, and repair.
- Experience with hand-on assembly, practical soldering, troubleshooting, debugging, and innovative problem-solving.
- Experience with designing and building test fixtures.
- Experience with performing lab and bench tests.
- Experience working in cross-functional team settings.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Prior experience with military/defense programs.
- Prior experience in aviation industry.
- Experience in production environment
- Soldering certification.
