About the role

Formulate mathematical and simulation models of financial projections for small and medium size businesses, taking into account assumptions, variable considerations, restrictions, alternatives, and conflicting objectives; Incorporate the mathematical and simulation models in the company’s online platform; Communicate with stakeholders to determine the most appropriate analytical techniques, including but not limited to user segmentation analysis, competitor analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, queuing and other stochastic-process models, Markov decision processes, econometric methods, data envelopment analysis, neural networks, expert systems, and decision analysis; Carried out the appropriate analytical techniques in the company’s online platform; Perform validation and testing of models and reformulate models as necessary; Present the results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management and end customers; Drive new financial product execution in collaboration with engineering and UX design peers including making tradeoffs and priority decisions, managing the workflow, anticipating risks and driving execution; Translate the product strategy and roadmap into detailed requirements and prototypes by defining, documenting, prioritizing and communicating market and customer needs; Run user research studies to find user experience touch points in the financial software platform that need improvement; Engage in strategic meetings with partners and clients to provide technical and expert guidance on the best ways to build financial models for clients; Maintain a deep understanding of the strategic and technical objectives of the company, the company’s core IP, and how to improve upon this to make a material impact when customers interact with the company’s platform and their day-to-day workflows; Define an inspiring vision for the future state of the company’s products and drive the product roadmap and execution; Represent the needs of customers and users internally while representing the company to customers and partners; Work closely with the company’s marketing, sales and customer success teams to drive product initiatives from inception to launch.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration or foreign equivalent plus 5 years of experience to include formulating mathematical and simulation models of financial projections for the business, taking into account assumptions, variable considerations, restrictions, alternatives, and conflicting objectives; communicating with stakeholders to determine the most appropriate analytical techniques, including but not limited to user segmentation analysis, competitor analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis; carrying out the appropriate analytical techniques in analyses; performing validation and testing of models and reformulate models as necessary; presenting the results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management; driving new product execution in collaboration with engineering and UX design peers including making tradeoffs and priority decisions, managing the workflow, anticipating risks and driving execution; translating the product strategy and roadmap into detailed requirements and prototypes by defining, documenting, prioritizing and communicating market and customer needs; running user research studies to find user experience touch points that need improvement; maintaining a deep understanding of the strategic and technical objectives of the company, and how to improve upon this to make a material impact when customers interact with the company’s platform and their day-to-day workflows; defining an inspiring vision for the future state of the company’s products and drive the product roadmap and execution; representing the needs of customers and users internally; working closely with the company’s marketing, sales and customer success teams to drive product initiatives from inception to launch.
