Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an outgoing Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. Omni Frisco PGA Resort will provide north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.
The Retail Assistant Manager will partner with the Director of Retail to oversee 6 Retail shops on property. The shops will include:
- Collective Green – This will be our high-end Men’s/Women’s Golf apparel outlet, along with being the hub for large group gifting items.
- Prairie Rose - This is our main hotel Gift Shop. This is a concept store and was designed as a colonnade of shops featuring the top selling items from each category. From PGA Frisco/Omni Logo product, a children's section, men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, as well as the usual sundries, snacks, etc. items found in most hotel lobby gift shops.
- Pool Hut - This unique shop houses various items for family enjoyment of the Splash-zone experience. It offers a wide variety of items from sunscreen to pool floats and water toys.
- PGA Shop - These shops are located at Rancho Las Palmas Country Club and provide equipment and apparel, as well as scheduling and expert advice for both activities.
- Gimme Toy – A fantastic source for kids gifting items, such as toys, books, scooters, & the Jelly Cat phenomenon.
- Blue Lacy – This shop is our “Country Chic Boutique” it encompasses Texas themed gifting items such as elegant jewelry, Brackish Bowties, boots, BBQ books, leather goods & most importantly, We host custom Hat party’s on property from this shop, along with it being our 1 mobile shop option.
This team member will partner with management to ensure proper training and supervision of all retail staff. Delivering not only excellent service according to Omni PGA Frisco standards but also true hospitality and WOW moments.
Responsibilities
- Able to partner with Manager and fulfill duties such as payroll, scheduling, praise and discipline.
- Able to have professional communication with guests & associates.
- Able to partner with other departments with the intention of taking care of the guests, owners and associates.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Resort.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
- Hold pre-shift meetings and ensure department training requirements are met monthly.
- Host, Plan & lead monthly ATGT meetings.
- Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure member and guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in controlling a budget & ordering supplies.
- Experienced in creating Synergy work tickets when issue arise.
- Being available during peak hours. Motivating the team and assisting when needed.
- Observe, teach and correct staff’s service in a professional manner.
- Assist manager in scheduling and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
- Participate in interviewing/recruiting as needed.
- Assist in monthly MOS audits.
- Conduct quarterly inventories, auditing results & adjusting variances.
- Review Micros reports daily/weekly, file them in the folder for the Audit.
