Responsibilities:

Design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks. Maintain/develop a scalable database/data warehouse through connecting disparate date housed across numerous organizational systems and different business lines. Maintain/develop the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies. Optimize/maintain workflows/scripts on present data warehouses and present ETL. Maintain data sources and workflows/fata pipelines across different systems. Maintain different data/analytics outlets including SFDC, Domo, PowerBI, etc. to ensure data delivery to team members and ad-hoc reporting requirements. Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Data Engineering/Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a data/systems engineering-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least 4 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of SQL and database design conventions to create complex queries, query optimization and develop efficient data models.

  • Proficient in scripting languages, such as Python or Go, for constructing complex data pipelines and developing sophisticated data processing applications.

  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, to establish and maintain deployment pipelines, facilitate automated testing, and ensure streamlined deployments.

  • Proficient in data visualization tools including Tableau and Looker, with the ability to design and create compelling and insightful dashboards to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.

  • Utilize knowledge in version control tools like Git, Microsoft Team Foundation Server to manage code versions, handle branches, resolve merge conflicts and facilitate collaborative code development among team members.

Position also requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Expertise in AWS Cloud Services particularly in data-related technologies such as S3, EC2, ECS, EMR etc. to build efficient data pipelines, monitoring, facilitate data storage and retrieval.

  • Utilize knowledge of REST API (Application Programming Interface), its protocols and best practices to extract and manipulate data from various API sources for downstream use.

Salary transparency  

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $165,913 - $200,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
