Job Description:
Satair is looking for a Warehouse Operator fulltime to join our team based in Miami, FL.*This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
You will be part of the team responsible for moving spare parts for aircraft maintenance through and out of the warehouse in a safe and clean manner.
Meet the team:
In support of Warehouse Operations, our team members support everything from receiving to packing and shipping of materials. The warehouse is at the core of our operations, assuring that Team Airbus members and our customers get the materials they need to be successful.
Your working environment:
Our Miami site is located close to downtown Miami and only 10 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA). This location supports all of our Americas customers, but is crucial to our Latin American operations due to its close proximity to Latin America and the Caribbean. This site manufactures about 38,000 certified Eaton hose assemblies a year. Additionally, our Miami site is the home of the regional FAA-145 repair station, which was established in March of 2017.

Your challenges:
Receive, inspect and put away parts (hazmat and non-hazmat) in correct location using different warehouse management systems
Pick and process hazmat and non-hazmat orders in the correct priority sequence according to established performances targets
Packing hazmat and non-hazmat orders for safe shipment according to shipping instructions and applicable standard specifications (ATA300) and IATA regulations
Prepare shipping documents for hazmat and non-hazmat shipments
Your boarding pass:
2 years of warehouse experience.
1 years of experience using SAP (or equivalent material management software).
Ability to gather and analyze material management data for decision making using Microsoft Office Products.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements:
Carrying: Able to carry between 50-75 pounds by yourself and up to 125 pounds two person carry
Hearing: Able to hear to participate in phone and in-person conversations also able to hear sirens, alarms and other emergency signals.
Lifting: Able to lift between 50-75 pounds by yourself and up to 125 pounds two person carry
Pushing / Pulling: Able to push/pull items over short distances and on occasion.
Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings; drafting computer-based documents, sometimes with limited breaks.
Squatting / Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat and to replace or retrieve items from low storage.
Standing: Able to stand for long periods of time, touring vendor facilities, traveling and similar activities.
Travel: Able to travel domestically and internationally sometimes on short notice and sometimes for long periods of time.
Citizenship:
Authorized to Work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
