We manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers.</p><p></p><p>Partner with the best</p><p>As a Senior Lead Transportation Specialist, you will play a fundamental role in the Transportation COE team. You will manage daily transports in/out-flows within our fulfillment centers, working closely with all the IET departments and logistics providers. You will ensure the achievement of IET targets on HSE standard, in compliance to Baker Hughes Integrity and business KPI.</p><p></p><p>As a Senior Lead Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for:</p><ul><li><p>Managing shipments from point of origin to destination, selecting appropriate transport mode and carriers.</p></li><li><p>Negotiating spot rates with Carrier and Freight Forwarder, managing consolidation, trying to mix volumetric and dense shipments to optimize costs.</p></li><li><p>Arranging shipments for exceptional transport (oversize and/or overweight, Project Cargo).</p></li><li><p>Finding new solutions when exceptional situations arise with Transportation CoE Leader supervision.</p></li><li><p>Verifying the accuracy of supplier's invoices and approve costs.</p></li><li><p>Being the main contact point between Supply Chain functions and Transportation Team ensuring support in promptly manners.</p></li><li><p>Arranging Dangerous Goods shipments.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring the information flow is continuous inside all IET departments.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Fuel your passion</p><p>To be successful in this role you will:</p><ul><li><p>Show experience in Freight Services (Ocean, Air, Road, OOG) and knowledge of freight processes, including DGR rules, international ground transport limitations.</p></li><li><p>Display knowledge of EU Customs Regulation and good transport costs understanding.</p></li><li><p>Be able to show good problem-solving and analytical skills along with interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills.</p></li><li><p>Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent both in English and Italian and hold an EU passport.</p></li><li><p>Display Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.</p></li><li><p>Be a Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of Transportation Management System (TMS).</p></li><li><p>Show Sustainability focus through dedicated Initiatives.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Work in a way that works for you</p><p>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
