Assistant Designer

Job Description

Fabletics is looking for an Assistant Designer.

How do you fit in:

As the Assistant Designer, you will partner in creating presentations and mood boards, assisting with trend research, and creating/updating line sheets. You will join an extremely fast-paced team of passionate and energetic creative individuals working towards our vision to be the world’s most fashionable, innovative and inclusive active-lifestyle brand. You will be a highly energetic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset that understands our brand’s aesthetic and customer for Fabletics.

You will report to the Senior Designer and partner closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Production and Technical Design teams.

What you will do:

• Assist in inspiration research across competitors in the performance/active space as well relevant fashion and parallel industries. Actively share creative insights with team members.
• Assist in preparation for key meetings by supporting Design leadership in board creation/ printing, gathering and organizing samples and styling models.
• Attend team fit sessions, helping to take style notes and assisting, when necessary, with CAD, tech pack and design decks updates.
• Maintain inspiration and design samples and materials organization.
• Own coloring seasonal design deck and collaborating with print/ graphic design to fill colored CADs.
• Manage a high volume of style input and track changes throughout the season within PLM.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design and Product Development and proactively communicate changes and/or updates accordingly.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and assist wherever possible.

What you can bring:

• 1+ year previous experience
• Passion for the brand and interest in body-inclusive design
• Basic knowledge of garment construction and development process.
• Computer sketch skills required
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment under pressure
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes
• Ability to multi-task and adjust workload as a result of shifting priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships among team members, management and cross-functional teams

The hourly range for this position is from $26.87-28.00. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
