SALARY RANGE

$47,185.06 - $57,093.92 Annually                       $1,814.81 - $2,195.92 Bi-weekly

Position Summary

This is work providing practical nursing services to patients under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, licensed osteopathic physician, licensed podiatrist, or a licensed dentist.

 

The Work You Will Do 

Administers medications and treatment as ordered.  Check medications for accuracy when returned from Pharmacy, following established policy/procedure. Administer treatments such as, but not limited to sterile dressings, enemas, irrigations, cauterizations.  Take vital signs, weights, perform breast exams, evaluate patient/clients, and assist staff in the care of clients.

     

 Evaluate complaints of residents, evaluate acutely ill or injured patients, notify the RN or physician as appropriate. Notate physician orders and follow through when required regarding any treatments, medications, diagnostic procedures request, diets, lab, x-ray, infection reported, etc. Document all evaluations of resident complaints in accordance with policy and procedure. Complete all nursing notes, nursing Active Treatment Plans, Support Plans, and summaries as required. Monitor ordered lab for completion, enter lab orders in the scheduling system as required.  Monitor required examinations and consults for scheduling and completion using the electr
