Working Capital is a short-term business financing arrangement that provides business owners cash that is structured as a loan or a line of credit. When you are accepted, the invoice financing company uses your accounts receivable as collateral, which is why it’s also called accounts receivable financing.

Invoice Financing at BILL helps businesses bridge the gap between invoice issuance and actual receipt of payment, providing them with immediate working capital. This can be particularly valuable for companies facing cash flow challenges or seeking to fund ongoing operations, growth initiatives, or other financial needs.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• At least 10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 13+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Java programming experience, including writing testable code
• Experience writing unit test cases and automation test scripts to abide by Full Cycle Engineering
• Experience with merge methodologies using version control systems like GitLab, BitBucket etc
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, RDS, DynamoDB
• Experience with SOAP/REST communication, Usage of test harnesses, giving technical direction to fellow engineers and writing extensive architecture and design documents
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues. Quickly isolating/debugging issues even in areas outside of your own domain.
• Experience in distributed system design, algorithms, logging framework, scaling and UML principles
• Experience working on large scale, complex applications
• Experience designing and building scalable cloud-native applications that are deployed in one or more public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Test Automation framework experience with Cypress.io, TestRail, Selenium, Jenkins
• Experience in the payments industry or building payment applications is a must. 
• Experience in more advanced or cutting-edge technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Serverless Architectures, AI/ML frameworks, Advanced Cloud Services).
• Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience in complex problem-solving in large-scale distributed systems, performance optimization, and high-availability systems.

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range$167,300—$200,800 USD
