Job Description:
A Medical assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs. A Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.Shift Details: 40 hours/week, Full Time. Schedule shifts will be Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Additional Details: Please review Minimum Qualifications listed below before applying. ***This position is for a "Quality MA" who will work centrally to support primary care quality initiatives across the organization. The role is non–patient facing and focuses on managing and reviewing quality reports, completing detailed chart reviews, and conducting outreach calls to patients to close care gaps and support quality measures. Responsibilities include validating data accuracy, documenting findings in the EHR, coordinating follow-up needs with clinic teams, and supporting initiatives related to preventive care and chronic disease management. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with quality metrics and reports, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with providers and care teams.

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:
Providing Patient Care: Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient’s visit and condition.
Effective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
Team Collaboration: Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires one of the following: Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Utah
Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
