PSE's IT Infrastructure team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Senior IT Systems Engineer - AV & Conference Room Technology position!

Job Description
Responsible for the design, management, and support of PSE’s AV and Conference Room technologies across the office footprint. This includes availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems enhancements. Monitors, troubleshoots, configures, enhances and provides advanced customer support. Plans and executes the implementation of new applications design or system integration and testing. Researches, recommends and designs new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing systems. Provides consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the AV technology. This role requires a deep understanding of AV systems, strong technical skills, and the ability to provide exceptional support and solutions to ensure seamless conferencing experiences. This position will involve daily and weekly travel between multiple locations within the Western Washington region, with occasional travel to office locations in Eastern Washington.

Job Responsibilities
· Help plan, develop, and implement AV solutions for conference rooms and office collaboration spaces, ensuring compatibility with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) and other BYO technologies.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess requirements for AV technologies, aligning design and support principals with business needs.
· Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including UAT checklists, infrastructure diagrams, room schematics, and equipment lists.
· Oversee the installation and configuration of AV systems in new and existing conference rooms.
· Ensure all installations meet the current and future standards of quality and functionality.
· Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and accurate deployment of AV equipment, which will include regular check-ins with our AV vendors, along with our internal Project Management team.
· Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for AV systems, including room configurations, technology stacks, and other conference room related equipment - resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime for our customers.
· Perform regular maintenance checks, audits, and updates to ensure systems are operating optimally and have the most recent vendor patching.
· Create and facilitate training for end-users and junior staff on the proper use and maintenance of AV equipment.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation for all AV systems, including configurations, support procedures, and user guides.
· Track and report on system performance, incidents, and resolutions to ensure continuous improvement.
· Develop and maintain a knowledge base for common issues and solutions.
· Work closely with IT, Facilities, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of AV systems.
· Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
· Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
· Lead the strategic planning and execution of AV technology refresh initiatives to modernize conference room capabilities.
· Evaluate existing AV infrastructure and recommend upgrades to enable more modern collaboration tools and enhance user experience.
· Drive business value and customer satisfaction by ensuring AV solutions align with organizational direction, leadership initiatives, and user needs.
· Oversee and support the managed service agreement with an AV integrator, ensuring effective break-fix services, remote monitoring, and ticket dispatch.
