Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
- Accountable for leading the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning function for core & new products with a huge ramp
- Working across multiple functional areas such as product marketing, finance, sales operations, planning, purchasing and manufacturing to develop the optimal Demand and Supply Plans to meet the company’s quarterly revenue and customer service goals
- Monitor all demand streams, forecasting models and inventory projections for varied product lines such as Endoluminal, Endoscopes and emerging new business models
- Develop, maintain and communicate metrics aligned with Corporate, Business Unit and team goals
- Drive the development of the constrained Supply Models, based on equipment/headcount/ line move considerations, while optimizing inventory attainment goals
- Exercise influence to execute to Build Plan and project commitments, through excellent working relationship between various internal stakeholders
- Proactively identify and pull resources across Intuitive worldwide to resolve issues
- Drive, coach and mentor the SIOP planning team, with performance feedback, and training & development plans
The successful candidate would be results-oriented, problem-solver, with deep deductive skills and in-depth knowledge of best-in-class forecasting/ planning practices. The candidate would possess excellent communication, partnership and leadership skills. Implementation / proven knowledge of planning systems is highly desired
Roles and Responsibilities:
Facilitate and drive partnerships with Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance team members to develop and deliver supply chain plans for mid-term and long-term planning horizon.
- Engage with multi-site & cross functional teams to head the SIOP Planning process - facilitate demand/supply/inventory/capacity assessment in formulation of a robust SIOP plan.
- Drive development of effective forecast models/ communication around industry/business trends and demand patterns, including product lifecycle management (NPI, EOS & product transitions)
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
- Know about Product Life cycle roadmaps, Regulatory and Roll-out plans
- Drive the team to develop a robust supply plan considering all the demand and the supply drivers including factory capacity, material constraints and regulatory clearances
- Establish and achieve goals around Key Performance metrics for Planning; Monitor performance to plan; Propose and implement solutions to improve metrics
- Head up monthly reviews for plan performance, Inventory review, E&O and stock-out risks
- Deliver both mid-term and long-range planning capabilities for the product portfolio
- Use data-guided systematic rigor to accurately identify issues that lead to sub-optimal output and their root causes and drive improvements
- Support management with scenario planning, risk assessments, alternative plans and mitigation activities
- Mentor, train and develop personnel
- Mentor and development of department operating procedures, work instruction and work flows, where unavailable
