Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

Hours: M-F 06:00-14:30

Foxhole is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Administrator to lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise infrastructure supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity program. This role combines technical leadership in on-prem and hybrid cloud environments with service ownership of Mission Partner Network (MPN) and Cross Domain Solution (CDS) capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in systems engineering, a strong grasp of DoD security frameworks, and the ability to manage lifecycle operations for mission-critical services.

Job Description

  • Architect, implement, and optimize infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and hybrid cloud integrations
  • Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, including installation, patching, configuration management, and hardware/software lifecycle maintenance
  • Serve as the SME for MPN and CDS, overseeing design, deployment, sustainment, and decommissioning in accordance with DoD interoperability and security standards
  • Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance using enterprise tools (e.g., Splunk, ACAS, HBSS); troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Manage data center operations, including provisioning of physical/virtual resources, backups, and disaster recovery planning
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and application teams to ensure security compliance and alignment with RMF, ATO, and Cross Domain Baseline requirements
  • Manage configuration baselines, system upgrades, and patching for MPN/CDS services while maintaining mission availability and security posture
  • Lead or support technical reviews, change boards, security testing, and formal evaluations related to MPN/CDS infrastructure
  • Coordinate response and resolution of incidents, vulnerabilities, and outages affecting MPN/CDS, ensuring appropriate escalation and documentation
  • Interface with DISA stakeholders, mission partners, and cross-functional teams to align MPN/CDS capabilities with operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including CONOPS, SOPs, architectural diagrams, security plans, transition-to-support artifacts, and POA&Ms within eMASS
  • Design and maintain automated infrastructure workflows using Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell to streamline provisioning and configuration tasks
  • Mentor junior team members, contributing to skills development, operational consistency, and knowledge sharing

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, system administration, or DoD cybersecurity roles
  • 2+ years of experience supporting MPN, CDS, or cross-domain environments
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CAP)
  • Expert-level experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Proficient with SAN/NAS storage, enterprise backup/recovery solutions, and high-availability configurations
  • Deep understanding of Cross Domain Solutions, including guard technologies, data transfer methods, and accreditation processes
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, eMASS, MPE frameworks, and DoD enterprise services
  • Experience with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell DSC
  • Working knowledge of ITIL-based processes (incident, change, problem management)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
