The Senior Associate, Marketing is responsible for supporting the execution of the marketing plan and advancing the sales cycle through effective coordination, content creation, project management, collaboration, creativity, and diligence. This role is primarily focused on content creation, communications, and project management, including Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns, team coordination and calendars, event management including conferences, content creation including blog, social media, and marketing collateral support, and support for broader team initiatives including community engagement.

This is an individual contributor role and, therefore, does not have any direct reports.

What You’ll Do

Company Branding and External Communications (50%)

  • Independently manage assigned marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  • Create, review, and/or edit marketing and communications collateral, including blog posts, one-pagers, and newsletters.
  • Strategize and create content for and evaluate metrics for social media platforms on LinkedIn, X, and Facebook to align with broader marketing strategy.
  • Manage team PPT content calendar and update it on a weekly basis.
  • Provide direction and/or manage the work of freelance designers, writers, or contracted marketing vendors.
  • Support the execution of marketing strategies as assigned.
  • Adhere to and uphold marketing procedures, design, branding, messaging, and style guidelines.

General Department Operations and Cross-Functional Support (50%)

  • Project manage ABM campaigns including strategy development and implementation.
  • Manage the coordination of marketing-sponsored and supported conferences and advise on recommendations for sponsorship based on HubSpot data; ensure conference activity is tracked in HubSpot; Manage and regularly update the annual conference calendar tracker.
  • Research topics to support marketing campaigns, branding, and communications efforts as assigned, including competitor analyses.
  • Support Marketing’s role in company community engagement efforts, including through research and project management.
  • Support digital marketing strategies, including list management and search engine optimization (SEO) support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a particular focus on the C&I Sales and Utilities teams.
  • Analyze marketing data to drive strategy.
  • Update marketing decks and additional marketing collateral.
  • Stay current on Convergent, the competitive landscape, and energy market trends.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in a marketing or communications role or equivalent.
  • An advanced working knowledge of project management (i.e., experience managing short and long-term projects with multiple stakeholders across teams, along with setting, managing, and evaluating campaign metrics).
  • Expert communication skills (verbal and written), including grammar, punctuation, and composition.
  • Proficient knowledge of and experience with developing internal and external communications, including blogs, social media, one-pagers, and/or newsletters, etc.
  • Advanced working knowledge of how to develop content specifically for LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.
  • Working knowledge of marketing campaign management and evaluation (i.e., campaign goal).
  • Advanced working knowledge of PowerPoint (can create professional slides for internal and external presentations).
  • Take ownership – skilled at managing projects from beginning to end.

  • Be creative – bring a creative perspective to the marketing team and how we connect with customers and stakeholders across the brand.
