What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $99,000.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but is not limited to:

The City and County of Denver has announced furlough days, or unpaid days off, for most employees to meet a budget shortfall in 2025. There are two fixed furlough days for all limited (temporary positions with an end date) and unlimited (permanent) employees on August 29th, the Friday before Labor Day, and November 28th, the day after Thanksgiving. If you receive an offer for this position, your annual pay will determine whether you are required to take additional furlough days. Details will be discussed during the offer process for selected candidate(s).
Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to be onsite 3 days a week at the Denver International Airport. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

We are seeking two experienced Senior Financial Analysts to join our Finance team supporting Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). These roles serve as trusted financial advisors to project teams, department leaders, and executive management. Playing a critical part in the strategic and financial success of large-scale capital projects.
Each analyst will bring a strong foundation in financial modeling, project forecasting, and expense reconciliation, while contributing to cross-functional initiatives that enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and support long-term capital planning. These roles will act as financial liaisons across departments, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Workday ERP, and other analytics platforms to deliver insightful, actionable financial reporting.
One role will focus more deeply on construction finance and project delivery, while the other will emphasize financial strategy, planning, and executive reporting—both aligned under a unified vision to support our growing Capital Program and organizational goals.
Specifically, as the Financial Analyst Specialist you will:
Build strong partnerships with project delivery teams to serve as a trusted financial advisor throughout the full construction project lifecycle.
Apply deep experience in construction finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for capital projects.
Recognize when project forecasts are conflicting with proposed timelines and guide project managers in developing achievable financial plans.
Clearly communicate complex financial data, risks, and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels.
Utilize and expand proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to consolidate data from multiple systems and deliver clear, project-specific financial reporting.
