The Director, Bluespring Finance is responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and decision support across the Bluespring Wealth Partners platform. This role serves as the primary finance business partner to Bluespring leadership and affiliated firms, providing actionable financial insight to drive growth, profitability, and operational performance.
This role partners closely with firm leadership, Bluespring corporate leadership, FP&A, Accounting, M&A, and Executive Management to provide visibility into financial performance, identify opportunities and risks, and support strategic decision-making. The Director will lead monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and performance management processes while serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the Bluespring channel. This position serves as the central owner of financial reporting and planning for Bluespring, ensuring leadership has accurate, timely, and actionable insights across a rapidly growing and acquisition-driven platform.
What You’ll Do:
• Act as the lead finance business partner to Bluespring leadership and affiliated firms.
• Develop strong relationships with business leaders and firm executives to understand operational drivers, strategic priorities, and financial performance.
• Provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives, hiring decisions, compensation programs, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
• Own monthly financial reporting for Bluespring and affiliated firms.
• Compile, analyze, and present monthly and quarterly financial performance, trends, and key business drivers to executive leadership.
• Prepare reporting packages and dashboards focused on Revenue, EBITDA, AUM, Organic Growth, Net New Assets, and other key operating metrics.
• Deliver insightful variance analysis versus budget, forecast, prior year, and prior period results.
• Partner with Accounting and FP&A to ensure consistency between reported results, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Lead quarterly forecasting processes across the Bluespring platform, partnering directly with firm leadership to develop accurate projections and identify key risks and opportunities.
• Lead annual budgeting and long-range planning processes for the Bluespring channel.
• Build and maintain financial models supporting growth initiatives, acquisitions, compensation programs, resource planning, and profitability improvement efforts.
• Support scenario planning and executive decision-making related to M&A, organic growth strategies, advisor transitions, and platform investments.
• Analyze firm-level performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, operating leverage, and EBITDA performance.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and reporting materials for senior management, lenders, investors, and board reporting processes.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support for Bluespring leadership and executive management.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting, forecasting accuracy, and planning processes.
• Partner with Finance leadership to establish scalable reporting and planning capabilities that support continued growth of the Bluespring platform.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while promoting a strong culture of business partnership and accountability
What You Bring:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or business finance experience.
• 10+ years of leadership experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience.
• Experience supporting executive leadership and business unit leaders.
• Wealth management, RIA, asset management, or financial services industry experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting.
• Strong knowledge of wealth management and RIA business models, including AUM-based revenue streams and advisor compensation structures.
