About the role

The Senior Web Designer will play an active and integral role in Auctane's eCommerce growth strategy as the conduit between Creative and Dev within the Marketing organization. Working in partnership with copywriters, other designers, front-end developers, and project owners, this role will be responsible for developing strategy and design for all of Auctane's products on the web and email.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas.

About the team

Work with a fast-paced team of senior creatives and copywriters making great things happen. Projects range from print, event, video, digital, web, and more. We encourage and foster a collaborative environment supporting internal clients across Auctane’s global enterprise.

What will you be doing?

• Create and maintain design standards of excellence for all digital marketing assets, sites, and email, across all Auctane products
• Act as expert and point of contact for web strategy and functional execution
• Manage, maintain, and evolve web and email design processes, tools and resources
• Support the dev team where necessary to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Execute web projects with a focus on best practices and brand standards
• Analyze and consult on all web and email projects to ensure all requirements and considerations are met
• Maintain usability and accessibility standards
• Promote and guide stakeholders through a user-centered design approach
• Consult and collaborate on testing opportunities
• Execute a wide array of digital and visual design deliverables

What are we looking for?

• 7+ years of web & digital design
• BA Degree in web/graphic design
• Online portfolio required 
• Experience designing, implementing, and launching large corporate sites and integrated marketing campaign experiences 
• Extensive experience working with modern web tools, applications, and platforms (Figma, Adobe CC, etc)
• Expert knowledge of Figma and workflow standards

• Master-level experience with Figma and other digital design software
• Motion design
• A strong creative thinker and design eye
• A team player and ability to be a creative ambassador across the enterprise
• B2C, B2B, SaaS experience
• Mobile-first design approach but proficient and experienced designing across all form factors
• Ability to produce motion studies, prototypes, micro-interactions and transitions 
• You’re a master of your craft, user experience matters from first load to bottom of the page, brand, type, image, motion, and accessibility matter; all of your work “works as good as it looks”
• You test and learn, all the time. Experimentation is second nature.
