Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to provide full project and construction management services and on-site construction oversight for projects ranging in value from < $5M to $100M, and support the Client representative in delivering successful project outcomes.

 

Job Description

Oversight of the overall construction effort.

Contract and cost control ownership for all contracts.

Manage overall project cost, schedule and budgets.

Manage General Contractor and direct or Client-contracted vendors and consultants.

Run and lead Client meetings, and other meetings as required.

Create and coordinate the construction management related PEP detailed plans, and coordinate completion of GC PEP activities.

Proactively manage the risks relating to construction project execution and HES, working with the Client coordinate GC actions on risk as necessary.

Support the design change process, review drawings against project requirements, assess constructability and provide other construction input.

Review and report on the overall construction effort and progress (weekly and monthly updates). 

Create and coordinate monthly, daily and event reporting for the Client and project team.

Coordinate and support RFI and submittal processes, in concert with the Cost Consultant for alignment with cost management.

In a timely manner review and validate Contractor, vendor and consultant requests for payment.

Review and validate costs associated with scope changes, and recommend to the Client with detailed justification if revision, rejection or approval is recommended.

Acting on the behalf of the Client proactively monitor and report occurrences that may result in a claim.

Create, coordinate and issue effective meeting minutes and other detailed documentation for site progress meetings, Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and other Client meetings as required.

Assisting the Client in overall coordination of the construction effort in support of Client operations and the effective safety, logistical and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plans.

Help to establish and facilitate the success criteria of the project, including time, cost, technical, and quality performance parameters (key focus is on the tactical, technical and process delivery of the project).

Identify and notify to ensure the appropriate Line Manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environmental issues.

In concert with Client, support development of contracts and overall purchasing and procurement strategy (including long-lead equipment) to achieve execution of defined strategy.

Serve as project schedule owner (or in support of project scheduler, if relevant), and maintain master project schedule at the level required to track critical actions and milestones (including Client, consultant, and vendor activities).

Conduct kick-off and regular cadence meetings with key project stakeholders (architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors), and track and report on progress.

Partner with Architect / Engineer and Client to review and ensure completion of all closeout items.

Collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders, partners and end-users.
