Responsibilities
The Clinical Coordinator Transplant is responsible for coordination of the evaluation and preparation of patients for organ transplantation and long-term management of patients after transplant. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient care across multiple areas- transplant clinic, the inpatient nursing unit(s), and community outreach clinics-in order to provide continuity of patient care across all settings. This position will be responsible for performing the initial assessment of transplant evaluated patients and providing follow up post-transplant care.
Qualifications
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing plus a minimum of three (3) years of general/surgical nursing experience is required, emergency/intensive care experience preferred. BLS (CPR) is required. One (1) to two (2) years of surgical transplantation experience preferred. Equivalent education/training and/or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential duties of the position may be substituted by RN’s on a year-for-year basis.
