This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations. This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.
Description
Senior International Tax Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting International Tax Manager with preparation and review of complex quarterly and monthly income tax provisions for foreign locations included within U.S. GAAP based global financial reporting results. Assist International Tax Manager with compilation of OECD-GLOBE and other tax disclosure reporting requirements. Work with personnel in multiple foreign locations to ensure timely delivery of accurate results to International Tax Manager.
- Assist with coordination and preparation of complex quarterly and monthly income tax provisions for foreign locations included within U.S. GAAP based global financial reporting results. Work with personnel in multiple foreign locations to ensure timely delivery of accurate results to International Tax Manager.
- Assist International Tax Manager in oversight of accounting for foreign location tax examinations.
- Assist International Tax Manager with compilation of OECD-GLOBE and other tax disclosure reporting requirements.
- Support SOX 404 testing on key calculations and processes
- Maintain company tax databases including OneSource Tax Provision and SharePoint or other similar programs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires air travel. In accordance with Freeport-McMoRan’s requirement for all employees whose job requires travel by air, if you are hired you will be required to submit proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to travel by air, unless the company has granted a medical or religious accommodation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and four (4) years of experience in Tax and/or Accounting; OR
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Accountant for a Big 4 public accounting firm.
- Experience with ASC 740
- Experience with U.S. income tax rules and regulations
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams & Outlook).
- Proficient in use of BNA, RIA, CCH and other tax and accounting research tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax
- CPA designation highly preferred
- Fluency in Spanish a plus
- Experience with SAP, OneSource Products, OneStream, Hyperion, Corptax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Query and Power BI applications.

- Ability to travel occasionally (including international)
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
