Children’s Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager- Information Systems to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that support our mission of improving child health. In this role, you will partner with clinical, operational, and executive leaders to deliver strategic projects from planning through implementation, driving innovation, organizational priorities, and meaningful outcomes across the healthcare system.

Location: Remote but must be local to Milwaukee

What you will do:
Directly responsible and accountable for project management oversight of multiple, large technology driven projects, initiated and sponsored by the IS department. Manages strategies and change management activities, advances conceptual designs, completes business assessments, assists in the development of project budgets, and develops, manages, and integrates detailed project work plans. Ensures communication, coordination, and integration of project work with all areas affected including end users, information services, impacted vendors, and business unit leadership. Serves as a key liaison with the business leaders and executives in relationship to assigned program activities.

Essential Functions

- Manages projects requiring significant IT support from original concept through design and implementation and ensures technical requirements, quality standards and project objectives are achieved within the agreed upon scope, timeline, risk tolerance, and resource levels.
- Reviews and seeks approval for project deliverables, work plans, and milestones with business and IS leaders, third party consultants, and IT product vendors.
- In conjunction with other leaders, monitors the status of projects and takes any steps necessary to focus priorities, improve project structures, resolve issues, and/or enhance work plans to ensure completion of the project objectives. Monitors activities of any closely related project(s), which have interdependencies with assigned project(s).
- Under general direction, manages budget, including gathering estimates, seeking budget approval, and tracking actuals to estimates.
- Under general direction, ensures that technical support documentation is created or updated as a result of project changes.
- Completes business assessments and develops project budgets, to achieve expected outcomes and to quantify the cost/benefit of proposed system solution(s).
- Designs and implements methods and systems for measuring and reporting performance on business, financial, and process metrics to assess the degree to which the project goals, objectives, and metrics are being met.
- Ensures communication, coordination, and integration of project work with all areas affected including end users, information services, impacted vendors, facility leadership, and physicians/clinicians.
- Under general direction, assists with the management of vendor and consulting resource time as per contract and escalates when necessary
- Mentors/teaches project management methodology and documentation as assigned.

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree Knowledge of healthcare delivery, project management, information technology, basic budgeting, and healthcare legislation at a level acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience Required
- Master's Degree or advanced technical degree Preferred

Experience:

- Experience with recognized performance improvement and change management methodologies and strong technical background strongly Preferred
- 7+ years relevant work experience in technical program/project management, directing/managing complex projects and project teams, defining
