As a Lighting and Advanced Electronics prototype technician, you will help develop and commercialize state-of-the-art electric vehicle. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of luxury electric vehicles. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking.

As a Lighting and Advanced Electronics prototype technician, you will help develop and commercialize state-of-the-art electric vehicle. Role
- Build state of the art automotive prototype components, vehicles, systems, and subsystems
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair assemblies, vehicles and bench systems
- Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment on prototype, pre-production, show, and production vehicles.
- Critical thinking skills to work without instruction manuals or workbooks
- Approach problems in a consistent and systematic way
- Working with engineering to fabricate and/or modify system and subsystem components
- Maintain a high knowledge level of high voltage, low voltage, and general electric vehicle systems
- Create and develop service and maintenance documents (service manual procedures, containments, etc.)
Qualifications
- Automotive technician degree, certification or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel
- 5 years Luxury Automobile Technician experience
- 3 years electric vehicle technician experience
- Must possess a valid driver license with good records
- Willing to work overtime, weekend, etc...
Advantageous
- Attention to detail and passion for creating positive client experiences
- Professional Race team experience
- You bring your own professional automotive toolbox
- Understanding Electrical schematics and capability to create simple test boards
- Working knowledge of CAN communications
- Fabrication skills (welding, milling, lathe) and wire harness building (soldering, crimping, splicing) etc.
- Experience in building precision mechanical assemblies
- Experience in rapid prototyping technologies (3d printing, CNC, fiber glass,…)
- Proof of excellence in your past position
Education
- Automotive technician degree, certification or equivalent work experience
- AA/BS in either Automotive Technology or Business Management, or equivalent work experience (a plus)
- OEM Master Technician Certification (a plus)
- EPA 609 Certification (a plus)
- ASE Certification(s) (a plus)
