Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant data architecture on Microsoft Azure. This role ensures data integrity, privacy, and trust across all cloud-based solutions while driving governance and compliance strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define frameworks, optimize data pipelines, and integrate advanced Azure services for trusted data operations.
About the job you’re considering:
- 8+ years of experience in Azure Data Engineering, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, T‑SQL, and enterprise data platforms.
- Lead enterprise‑level data architecture strategy and implementation, ensuring scalable, secure, and high‑performance data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- Define end‑to‑end data architecture leveraging Azure Data Factory for orchestration, Azure Databricks for data processing and advanced analytics, and Delta Lake for Lakehouse storage.
- Design and develop enterprise data models, Lakehouse schemas, and data governance frameworks aligned with organizational standards.
- Implement and enforce data governance and metadata management practices using Azure Purview across multiple enterprise implementations.
- Optimize Databricks clusters and ADF pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Establish and maintain data quality management frameworks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and lead technical design discussions.
- Demonstrate strong communication and client management skills, including the ability to engage with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Job Description - Grade Specific
Your Role:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data architectures on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services (Data Lake, Synapse, Purview, Key Vault).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$157,000 to $175,000.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
