Who we are looking for

Purpose

This position serves as the main HR point of contact for assigned business units/departments providing counsel and partnership to leaders and employees to build, foster, and maintain a high performing and engaged workforce aligned with overall business strategy. The ideal candidate can work our hybrid model from the Cary, NC office.     

Main Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships across the organization and specifically within assigned areas/departments and with key Chiesi USA leadership stakeholders
  • Proactively work with management and employees to support positive working relationships and retention strategies.
  • Partner with HR colleagues in operations, talent acquisition, and learning and development to ensure full leverage of all HR programs, policies, and systems available.
  • Partner with leaders to define workforce needs and ideal profiles; support selection process for all open requisitions in assigned areas/departments
  • Analyze trends in performance, employee engagement, retention, and DE&I and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Guide and coach leaders and employees through core HR processes such as performance management, salary review, and people development
  • In collaboration with leaders, identify priority development needs at the team, department, and/or individual level; work with Learning & Development to match appropriate resources to those needs
  • Coach people managers on how to anticipate and resolve issues in alignment with our global values & behaviors
  • In coordination with leaders, define resource needs for the future according to the organization’s strategic direction and workforce planning process
  • Local HR liaison for Global HRBPs with US Populations 
  • Lead and/or contribute to special projects as assigned

Experience Required

  • 5+ years as an HR Business Partner, ideally in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience working in a global and/or complex matrix organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US Employment Law and practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Written, Verbal and Face-to-face communication to effectively present information to and influence decision making of managers, working partners (local and global), and government agencies.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines. 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
