Customer Service Representative - Medications & Inventory

Help clients obtain medications and prescriptions, based on approvals and recommendations from veterinarians. Work with clients by phone, email, and text regarding medication requests. Coordinate the requests with doctors. Prepare and dispense prescriptions from our office, or submit prescriptions to appropriate online or compounding pharmacy. Help maintain automatic refills list. Respond to medications requests from online pharmacies.

Counsel clients on medication administration and effects. Answer client questions about how a medication works, how it is administered, and how it is intended to help their pet. Work with doctors on responding to questions as appropriate.

Help manage inventory and supplies. Monitor stocks of inventory and supplies on-hand. Proactively order additional items, and restock when shipments arrive. Coordinate and log controlled substances in compliance with DEA regulations. Help manage and reconcile quarterly inventory count. Help maintain and adjust prices of inventory and supplies.

Assist the practice in other ways as needed, including filling in as an on-the-road assistant at appointments when regular assistant is unavailable.
