In this role you will be responsible for raising digital competency across the Nordics and ensure that we realise value from the digital toolbox across the N value chain. You will work closely with the business stakeholders to ensure critical mass user adoption of digital tools supporting the asset lifecycle and drive process improvements and innovation using digital capabilities.
Nordics
The business area Nordics (N) is responsible for development, construction, O&M, and ownership of hydro, wind and solar assets in Norway and Sweden. The business area is also responsible for Statkraft’s group O&M.
Working in Digitalisation and Continuous Improvement
This role is organized in business area Nordics’ O&M, Technology and Process department, in its newly establish unit for Digitalisation and Continuous Improvements. This unit owns and drives Nordics’ digital strategy agenda, IT roadmap and is Nordics’ voice towards Statkraft’s group IT function – ensuring that Nordic’s digital tools and capabilities support the efficient pursuit of Nordic’s overall business plan. It is important to note that this is not an IT function, but the successful candidate should have sufficient understanding of both IT and Nordic’s business activities to build a strong and valuable relationship between Nordics and IT.
Main responsibilities:
- Create communication and training material for digital asset lifecycle tools. Asset lifecycle tools are the tools used to support end-to-end processes for developing, constructing and operating hydro, wind and solar assets.
- Plan, facilitate and follow up training with superusers and end users across all regions in Nordics. Ensure efficient digital onboarding of new employees to the defined digital toolboxes for development and construction.
- Participate in projects to define digital toolboxes for O&M and asset management.
- Collect end-user feedback and understand business requirements
- Translate business requirements/technical requirements to IT and work in close collaboration with system owners and system managers for relevant applications to continuously develop these, to ensure that Nordic’s end-user requirements are met.
- Contribute to exploring new digital opportunities in collaboration with IT to support the business strategy with technological innovation e.g., digital twin, 3D printing, use of drones, smart contracts etc.
- Support in continuously strengthening our way of working and optimising our processes.
The position is located at Statkraft’s corporate headquarter in Oslo, but will be working closely with the business across Nordics. Some travelling within the Nordics must be expected. The position reports to Head of Digitalisation and Continuous Improvement who is also located in Oslo.

We are looking for candidates who are high performing individuals with drive and a clear “can do” attitude. The right candidate has a deep interest, motivation and experience in leading business critical IT and digitalisation activities. You acknowledge the importance of change management and are motivated by collaborating with skilled colleagues to reach ambitious goals.
- Higher university education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Business Engineering, Finance or similar.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience.
- Work experience from consulting companies or similar roles in global industrial or energy companies is highly relevant, experience related to asset development, construction, O&M or management is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and talent for building network and trusted relationships is a necessity. Ability to connect the dots between business needs and IT solutions and communicate with both end users on the business side and technology specialists in IT.
- Continuous improvement mindset and experience from improving and optimizing deliveries related to a product. Knowhow of innovative techniques is appreciated (Agile processes, design thinking, scrum).
- Great at making things happen, starting and moving cases with passion and drive, as well as corporate navigation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian.
