We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Connectivity & Network Engineer to provide technical support for our IBM Connect:Direct service. This role is responsible for managing connectivity issues, troubleshooting network-related problems, and ensuring seamless data transfer between external customers and internal systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving technical issues, raising tickets, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain service reliability and performance.
Your role
- Serve as the primary technical support contact for IBM Connect:Direct-related issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot connectivity and network problems affecting data transfers.
- Raise and manage incident tickets for technical issues reported by external customers.
- Collaborate with internal infrastructure, network, and application teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain documentation of support procedures, configurations, and known issues.
- Ensure compliance with security and data transfer protocols.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide timely updates and communication to stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of technical support experience
- Direct Experience with IBM Connect:Direct service
- Experience in cloud technology /Kubernetes /OCP.
- Hands on experience of transmissions protocols (sFTP, TCP/IP, etc ).
- Good understanding of the Secure plus protocols (TLS /SSL, etc).
- Networking and security experience of cryptography applications and data security.
- Hands on administration experience of Windows and Unix, operating systems.
- Windows/Unix scripting experience and XML coding.
- Unix/Windows Connect Direct support experience.
- Willing to work in 24*7 Production Support model.
