About the Role

Our internships are ideal for current students and recent graduates in the sciences seeking to gain an insight into life at a fast-growing healthcare consultancy. We work with a wide range of clients, including the industry’s most successful pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, patient and public health bodies and charitable organizations. You will be presented with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working across various projects, all of which involve the assimilation, interpretation and creative presentation of scientific data related to pharmaceuticals or medical devices. Specific tasks could include performing systematic searches of medical literature, developing abstracts, posters and manuscripts related to clinical trial data, or summarizing the available clinical and economic evidence on interventions to support discussions with payers.

You will typically be working on approximately three projects at any one time, with different Costello Medical project teams, and across different clients and disease areas. Interns receive one-to-one training in all aspects of their role, and can expect to learn about project management and effective communication with clients. Overall, we endeavor to make our internship an accurate reflection of a permanent Analyst/Medical Writer role at Costello Medical.

Analyst/Medical Writer Interns are based in each of our scientific divisions. These are broadly described as Medical Communications, Value and Access and Evidence Development. If you have a particular interest in one of our teams, please indicate this in your cover letter. Please note that, if successful, your division will be confirmed closer to your start date and, whilst every effort will be made to consider your divisional preference, this will be subject to business need and project availability.
