The People team exists to support the advancement and growth of Formic, by supporting the advancement and growth of our people. Our responsibilities include talent acquisition, human resources, and employee retention and empowerment. Formic is seeking a strategic and purposeful Human Resources Program Manager to design, develop, oversee, and continuously improve HR-related projects and processes. In this position you’ll play a critical role, helping to ensure the achievement of company and cultural goals. A successful candidate will perform well in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous environment; have strong HR experience and expertise enabling them to anticipate challenges; be a strong and thoughtful communicator; and be dedicated to providing an impeccable new hire and employee experience to all. 

As HR Program Manager & Business Partner, you will: 

  • Develop and implement HR communication strategies to effectively convey project updates, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders of all levels
  • Ensure project goals are clear, executive support is aligned to initiatives, effective prioritization is being applied, and key accountabilities are understood and adopted 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for building and improving HR processes, laying the foundation on which to successfully scale the People team and wider Formic team
  • Maintain excellent data hygiene and integrity by documenting processes, following up with a sense of urgency, and logging pertinent information in tools and trackers
  • Ensure that everyone who interacts with our team has a positive experience, feels heard, and is followed up with
  • Develop, review and revise program policies and procedures. Build and maintain a growing knowledge base of resources for employees and internal team members
  • Provide advice and counsel to department heads, managers and staff on updating and interpreting programs
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and 30/60/90 day integration into the company. Continuously improve employee onboarding experience based on feedback and lessons learned
  • Ensure ethical behavior and compliance with employment laws
  • Assist in navigation of policy changes, guide compensation and benefits administration, discover ground truth about company culture, and help set goals for growth
  • Manage People team tools and vendor relationships
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality as appropriate, with a sensitivity to ensuring information is communicated to the right people at the right time

What makes you a great fit:

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of combined experience as a HRBP and/or developing and managing HR projects or programs, with a focus on process improvement, talent management, organizational development, or HR system implementations
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, HRMP) is a plus
  • Expertise with Gusto, Lattice and Greenhouse is a plus
  • Willingness to work in-office on the west-side of Los Angeles 3+ days per week
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and practices. Ability to independently distill this knowledge and sound judgment to guide strategy
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management, dynamics of employee development and prof
