Position: Director, IT Finance & Accounting

What you will be doing: 

The Director IT Finance and Accounting is responsible for developing and maintaining a unified technology strategy across Financial Systems used at the enterprise.  

This position drives end-to-end finance process improvements focusing on automation and best practices across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles. A strong background in Information Technology and Finance, particularly with Oracle and Fusion ERP, is essential for success in this role.  

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial systems strategy to enhance agility, accuracy, compliance, and cost-efficiency.  

  • Lead end-to-end finance process improvements, focusing on automation and best practices across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles.  

  • Drive timely and accurate financial close across global entities, ensuring compliance with both statutory and corporate requirements.  

  • Support financial readiness for country expansion and M&A activities, including system localization, tax configuration, and legal entity setup.  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Business Operations to ensure IT strategies align with financial and operational objectives.  

  • Assist in deployment and optimization of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) tools, ensuring effective use of Oracle ERP, Hyperion and Onestream   

  • Maintain and continuously improve a Finance IT Playbook to standardize processes, controls, and configurations globally 

  • Drive financial system upgrades, including ERP version transitions and cloud migrations (e.g., Oracle Fusion).  

  • Establish and maintain robust security policies across all financial systems, including role-based access, audit trails, and compliance with SOX and GDPR standards.  

  • Architect and oversee system integrations using REST APIs, EDI, and middleware (e.g., OIC, Workato) to ensure real-time, accurate financial data flow.  

  • Assist in the deployment and optimization of enterprise financial systems, ensuring integration with ERP platforms.  

  • Establish governance frameworks and best practices for financial system deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.  

  • Ensure data integrity, financial accuracy, and compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements across systems and geographies.  

  • Maintain robust internal controls and support audit readiness across all regions.  

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as close cycle time, reporting accuracy, and forecasting reliability. 

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of IT and finance system professionals, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.  

  • Partner with CFOs, controllers, auditors, and senior leaders to drive finance transformation and system modernization initiatives.  

  • Foster strong vendor relationships and manage consulting partners to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of system projects.  

  • Provide strategic guidance for ERP transformation, automation, and financial analytics enablement.  

  • Act as a change leader, promoting adoption of new systems and processes during periods of growth, transformation, or country expansion.
