The ideal candidate will need to be based out of our West Chester, Pennsylvania or Parsippany, New Jersey
The goals and objectives of the Global Health Economics, Value, and Outcomes department is to develop robust value and evidence strategies supportive of the value of pipeline and BD assets in clinical development; formulate evidence-based value propositions that are aligned with Teva assets and products and have a foundation in a robust understanding of payers, organized customers, and their decision making systems; in partnership with Medical Affairs, develop the HEOR/access evidence plans and payer engagement strategies for every stage of the product lifecycle to support optimal reimbursement and assist regional and country organizations in achieving and maintaining broad access at target prices; and deliver toolkits with quality and broad evidence, including value dossiers, observational and real world data studies, surveys, and economic models.
The Senior Director, Pipeline Head for Neuroscience, will develop the TA strategies for the function in collaboration with internal partners and, in collaboration with his/her team, the design, execution, and analyses of studies in Neuroscience to create value messages that resonate with patients, payers, government, health care providers and other decision-makers and will ensure the highest standards of excellence are applied to these studies – whether they be part of clinical trials, or independent prospective, retrospective, or real-world observational studies, or economic analyses, and that this is done in full compliance with Teva’s and all regulatory and governance requirements.
⦁ Ensure that the team has a deep understanding of stakeholder needs and value drivers through payer engagement strategies to gain insights, align value communication strategies and deliver effective toolkits for our assets in Development in the therapeutic area.
⦁ Direct active engagement of Neuroscience team members with the respective Global Program Teams to provide value insights around the asset’s value proposition, indication sequencing, biomarker development and/or device development which would have implications for reimbursement and market access.
⦁ Direct and ensure execution of value strategies and tactics with the end customer in mind to ensure positive results will fulfill the global value proposition and meet the reimbursement plans for assets to obtain optimal market access globally.
⦁ Guide Neuroscience team members in the department in leading the cross-functional asset Global Value Teams from inception.
⦁ Ensure resources, personnel, and expertise are appropriately prioritized and deployed to successfully pursue value demonstration of assets in the TA from Discovery through peri-launch, and ensure appropriate engagement with the function’s In-Line Brands team to gain input through development for value demonstration/realization of our products as well as an appropriate hand-off of responsibilities.
⦁ Keep abreast of trends and developments in HEOR, Epidemiology, Reimbursement, Market Access, and Medical Affairs across key markets.
⦁ Build a network of HEOR experts and payers, including academics, policy makers, HTAs, reimbursement influencers and other decision-makers globally to ensure market access approval, maintenance of market access and enhancements of market uptake in a timely manner.
Your experience and qualifications
⦁ PhD in Economics, Epidemiology, Economics, Health Services Research or a related field (e.g. Market Access), and a PharmD or MD or MBA with at least 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience OR a Master's degree in Economics, Epidemiology, or related field, and at least 15 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
⦁ 5 years of significant leadership/management experience.
⦁ Proven track record of implementing unique and innovative HEOR and access strategies to maximize market uptake.
