About the role
As a Junior Project Manager, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include:
- Work with engineering team and project stake holders to define projects’ scope and estimate.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for various project components, including labor, materials, equipment, and other resources.
- Providing data and analysis to support informed decision-making related to project costs.
- Create documentation for project funding requests and follow up until approved
- Monitor project expenditures, identifying variances from the budget, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Build and manage a project’s work breakdown structure, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle, working with project sponsors/key stakeholders, team members, and management to oversee all phases of project completion.
- Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
- Create project-based communication (agendas, minutes, status, schedules, information materials) and distribute information as appropriate.
- Capture project issues, ensures clear ownership of resolutions, and tracks to closure.
- Ensure all the project changes are documented and approved according to company requirements.
- Prepare Annual/ Quarterly/Monthly project forecast - with close collaboration with other stake holders and Finance department.
- Verify the capitalization and project close on time.
- Participate in internal/ external audits of capital projects.
You may fit well into this role if you have:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective strategic working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels or the organization.
- Good understanding of project cost estimate/ cost control and have experience with Forecasting/ budgeting and variance analysis
- Understanding of construction, manufacturing, or other relevant industries and technologies.
- 80/20 mindset and drive simplification
- Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills, including a high level of attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to travel globally when needed.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications, most notably Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of SAP project management module is desired but not essential
- Consumer package goods industry experience is desired but not essential.
