How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing daily manufacturing management and production processes for the facility in East Stroudsburg, PA.  In this role you will be responsible for hiring, motivating employees, planning, assigning and directing work, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, and prioritizing positive measures that favorably impact on-time delivery, quality products and financial commitments.  The successful Production Supervisor will have strong leadership abilities and a passion for operational excellence.

1.         Supervisory Leadership: 

• Provide leadership and guidance to production team, ensuring output, collaboration, and a positive working environment
• Foster open communication and promote a culture of trust and engagement, embodying the SPX core values
• Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the    collective bargaining agreement
• Organize the workflow of department by setting objectives, preparing schedules, and communicating objectives and progress to team
• Serve as point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, actively listening and address issues in a timely manner using a proactive approach to conflict resolution
• Actively participate in the hiring, selection, and on-boarding processes of new employees
• Actively support employee training and development by identifying training needs, coordinate training, providing coaching and guidance to enhance employee skills and knowledge, as well as performing employee evaluations and corrective actions as necessary

     2. Production Execution:

• Collaborate with production planning and logistics to prioritize production schedules, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery of orders that meet customer expectations
• Maintains workflow by monitoring control points; understanding process variables; equipment; manpower and material monitoring; studying production methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems
• Resolves production anomalies by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending and implementing actions while collaborating between teams
• Inspects assembly to ensure conformance to established specifications and standards to ensure production of safe, high-quality products while partnering with quality team
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning production team for efficiency; accomplish work results; establish priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules; resolve problems; report results on shift production summaries

3.  Safety: 

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines, conducting regular inspections, and addressing potential issues immediately
