In this newly created role on the communications team, the corporate communications manager will serve as a key contributor to Aura’s growth efforts. With a primary focus on media visibility promoting executive thought leadership and growth storytelling, this role will work closely with the Sr. Managers of Communications to drive the strategy and execution of Aura’s thought leadership initiatives, the executive visibility platform for Aura’s CEO, Hari Ravichandran, and additional members of the Aura executive leadership team, management of Aura’s participation in industry events as well as its corporate awards program. 

The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, a passion for storytelling and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Day to Day:

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Managers of Communications to develop and implement a comprehensive thought leadership strategy for Aura’s CEO and other executives 

  • Effectively advise business leaders on communications strategy to protect Aura’s reputation and build Aura’s brand

  • Establish strong relationships with business partners to gain a clear understanding of objectives and to ensure message alignment and integration across the organization

  • Develop and edit messaging, articles, blog posts, event talk tracks and other communication materials for executive leadership

  • Identify key industry trends, topics, and opportunities for executive engagement and visibility

  • Coordinate Aura's participation in industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements for executive leadership

  • Manage the end-to-end process for corporate / innovation award submissions, ensuring a compelling representation of Aura's achievements and contributions

  • Drive steady stream of media engagements spotlighting Aura executives grow business media relationships

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • At least 5 years experience in communications or related field (marketing, journalism, corporate storytelling), technology industry, business media or PR agency experience a plus

  • Demonstrated business acumen with a keen understanding of technology industry dynamics, market trends, and the ability to translate strategic business goals into effective public relations and thought leadership initiatives

  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to influence senior business partners and communications colleagues to achieve business objectives

  • Strategic thinker and storyteller with writing/editing and presentation skills

  • Proven track record of successfully driving thought leadership initiatives and securing impactful media coverage

  • Growth mindset and commitment to demonstrating results and gathering feedback to inform experimentation, iteration, and improvement

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once

  • Self-starter, excellent work ethic, positive, energetic attitude

Pay range for this position is $108,000 to 150,000, but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
