Job Description

Purpose of the role

• Creates recommendations for product development using design thinking techniques to understand the customer need, ideate of solutions, and test ideas with customers. Presents recommendations to Product Owners to take into delivery.

• Understands and captures business needs in a way that enables IT to develop, test and deploy solution(s) that deliver the target business benefits.

Accountabilities

• Working in partnership with IAG Tech, and the business to:

• Design products, services and experiences using a design thinking approach, using techniques such as user interviews, surveys, and focus groups to understand the customer experience, empathise with needs and create solutions.

• An advocate for the end user or customer, ensuring the best user experience.

• Creation of personas representing the customers, maps the process flows and the

  experience for personas.

• Ideation of solutions, using techniques to rapidly generate ideas, and select those to be further developed and improved.

• Join solution ideas to create journeys across touchpoints ensuring the end to end experience fits together and makes sense to the customer.

• Testing of solution ideas with customers using focus groups, beta testers, interviews, and collation and analysis of the results. Improve the solution ideas with feedback collated.

• Deliver recommendations to product owners on products, services, experience, change of workflows in the form of prototypes (low fidelity, high fidelity, other) and User Stories for the product backlog.

• Analysis of business requirements from stakeholders, and creation of User Stories for the product backlogs.

• Collaboration with experts, customers, to gain insights and experience.

• Use structured best practice methodologies understand the business needs, customer

  profile target benefits and priorities.

• Create and manage their requirements workshop plan(s) and lead the workshops to ensure objectives are achieved.

• Capture and document the user experience requirements in a structure and format that enables IAG Tech (incl. 3rd party solution providers) to deliver solution(s) that will meet the business need.

• Support IAG Tech (incl. 3rd party solution providers) with designing the solution(s).

• Support the creation of test cases (technical and business).

• Consider both business needs and the IAG Tech Enterprise Architecture Strategy (including defined standards) when supporting IAG Tech with solution design.
