This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and passionate commercial talent to serve as the Executive Director, U.S. Commercial Leader, for our Ulcerative Colitis Indication within our Immunology IBD business.
It is an exciting time to join our company's Immunology Team and our growing US Pharma Business Unit as we aspire to become the trusted leader in delivering novel solutions to transform the standard of care for Immune-Mediated Diseases. The Immunology portfolio is a top corporate priority for our company and will be a key growth driver for the US Market and our company.
This role will lead the US Launch Strategy and readiness for our Ulcerative Colitis Indication in IBD; a phase 3 monoclonal antibody directed to a novel target, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-like cytokine 1A (TL1A), in ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD).
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing our US Strategy and promotional campaigns. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to lead and execute a best-in-class launch as the cornerstone of our company's Immunology pipeline, aiming to establish a leadership position in highly competitive markets. The candidate will lead, motivate, and inspire direct marketing team members and enterprise cross functional team members across the US Market. This high-profile role is designed to position the candidate for future leadership roles.
This position will report to the Immunology leader in the US Pharma Business Unit, and will be based in the Upper Gwynedd, PA office.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Lead all aspects of planning for the US launch, driving brand vision and key strategic choices around targeting, positioning, access strategy, etc.
Design and build the Go-to-market commercial model, establishing new roles, capabilities, and partnerships deemed necessary, defining ways of working, and providing marketing support to operationalize the overall model
Lead the creation of market development strategies and tactics to deploy pre-launch
Drive overall launch readiness across all aspects of commercial activities
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise, including Medical Affairs, Manufacturing, Global Marketing, Global digital data and analytics, PDT/Research & Development, Policy, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance teams, and other relevant stakeholders, to optimize the launch and enable long term success.
Communicate effectively with senior management to ensure organizational alignment around the U.S. Go-to-market model, key strategic choices, forecasts, and resource needs
Create and achieve net sales and income forecasts
Once USCL establishes Agile Pack, manage the Product Owner(s) to maximize the business results delivered by the team and ensure work is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs
Sets and accountable for the achievement of the strategic priorities and quarterly business objectives
Manage a substantial promotion budget to optimize investments across audiences and channels
Work to ensure tight coordination with the Crohn’s Disease Indication launch
Education Minimum Requirements:
Required: BA/BS
Preferred: MBA
Required Experience and Skills:
10+ years in marketing, marketing support, and/or US market access
Significant strategy development experience and in working in white space
Experience with product launches
Proven experience in effectively leading cross-functional, enterprise teams
Strong business acumen
Has a growth mindset, advocates for agile ways of working, and supports team members in learning and adoption
Demonstrated success in leading and building teams with a positive culture
Demonstrated proactive leadership skills
Experience working in and with diverse teams
Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills and executive presence
Understanding of the US commercial and regulatory requirements
