Senior Manager, Data Platform and Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, ML Engineering leads a team of data engineers, MLOps and CloudOps engineers to build a robust, scalable, performant, and sustainable processes that supports advanced analytics use cases within Bayada. The Senior Manager has prior experience architecting cloud-native solutions to manage advanced analytics use cases. The Senior Manager will report directly to Head of Data Governance & Architecture in defining forward looking strategy and implementation. The Senior Manager will own day to day execution of Data engineering processes, MLOps and Reporting data products for building a sustainable and reliable environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.
• Four (4) year college degree (preferably in Computer Science)
• Proven experience on career progression from core software engineering, architecture to people’s management roles
• Minimum five (7) to seven (10) years’ work experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead
• Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years’ work experience building cloud-native Enterprise scale analytics data products focused on AI/ML use cases.
• Experience in Healthcare domain as a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in design and architecting of cloud-native data analytics solutions.
• Experience building solutions using with ETL tools, Cloud Data warehouses (like Snowflake or others), MLOps (Databricks, AWS Sagemaker or others), and BI (like Tableau, PowerBI or others)
• Proven prior experience on people’s management of teams up to ten (10) or above.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA Home Health Care and The BAYADA Way.
• Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the analytics leadership team to define, design, and deliver new analytics products, technical solutions, and enhancements that work cohesively and meet the needs of the company, its clients, and the end users.
• Provide thought leadership on industry learnings about design, and architecture of MLOps in conjunction with building features stores as products using technologies like Databricks.
• Provide thought leadership on industry learning about design, and architecture of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
• Collaborate with our infrastructure engineering teams to build and maintain world class CloudOps processes that supports advanced analytics needs within Bayada.
• Provide mentoring and support to MLOps, and Data Warehouse engineering teams on career growth, and learnings.
• Partner with other key technology leadership stakeholders (Infrastructure, Security, Governance, and others) to make MLOps as a cutting-edge technology shop.
• Communicate the state of projects across teams, stakeholders as well as to executives.
• Drive business value from data and analytics products
• Provide customer support in escalated cases.
• Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
• Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
