Now Hiring: School Age Child Care Site Coordinator
 

Do you have a passion for leadership, child development, and creating meaningful experiences for kids? The YMCA is looking for a motivated and organized Site Coordinator to lead one of our School Age Child Care (SACC) sites! This is your chance to help shape young lives, support working families, and be part of something bigger.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee daily operations of a before- and/or after-school program for children ages 5–12

  • Supervise, support, and inspire a team of staff to deliver a safe, engaging, and fun program

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, school partners, and YMCA staff

  • Plan and implement enrichment activities, promote positive behavior, and ensure high-quality programming

  • Maintain all licensing and YMCA standards related to safety, supervision, and documentation

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children in a group setting (supervisory or leadership experience preferred)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • A team player who can also take initiative and lead with confidence

  • Must meet state licensing qualifications for a site coordinator (we’ll help guide you through!)

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At least 18 years of age.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent
  3. Have completed twelve college credits in any one hundred-level or above college coursework or equivalent as approved and verified in the electronic workforce registry by DCYF at time of hire or promoted into this position AND complete an additional 18 credits within 5 years.
  4. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
