Machine Operator (weekends)

Shift: Friday–Monday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. Either Friday or Monday will be a 4-hour shift (to be determined), and the remaining three days will be 12-hour shifts.

Hourly Rate: $22.00 an hour with a 15% shift differential

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complies with all company policies and procedures. 

• Receives, cleans, and inspects lenses prior to the coating process
• Operates robotic clean line.
• Loads and unloads machines
• De-racks lenses 
• Visually inspects lenses and coating after processing to ensure color and quality meet company standards
• Operates bead blaster
• Communicates problems to Production Manager
• Responsible for keeping workstations clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience 

• High School Diploma
• 1 plus years working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• 1 plus years of Optical Experience preferred
• The ability to communication openly with others and work as a team. 
• Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
• Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
• Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
• The ability to do simple/basic math
• Work without supervision

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program.
• Closed toe shoe required with heel support
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment may require P.P.E.
• Safety glasses and long sleeve shirts may be required where needed.
