About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Technologist Lead with the Dow Services Business group located in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.

In this job, you will help support the EMEA Contract Management Team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the administration of Service contracts delivered at the Site level, including Site Services, Energy Services, Business Services and Product Service as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts day to day transactional activities of the contract, including consumption reporting, metering or notifications as per the contract. (Examples of transactional activity; price increases, invoices, data/cost reconciliation for invoices, oversight of tenant cost center for accurate accounting, oversight of cost adjustment trigger points, oversight of event trigger points, data collection and input for budgeting).
  • Thoroughly understands the terms, conditions and intent of each service agreement.
  • Ensures that both Dow and tenant comply with all service agreement terms and conditions.
  • Serves as the primary contact for routine service questions and basic Agreement concerns and escalates to Contract Manager as appropriate.
  • Supports Contract Manager in the resolution of contract questions, concerns and issues.
  • Liaison between Tenant and Site Service delivery organization in resolving quality (incidents) as related to service agreements.
  • Assists in building working relationships between hosts, Service Providers and Customers.
  • Participates in the development and review of contracts in regard to alignment with site ordinances, service offering capabilities and constraints and overall ability to execute the contract.
  • Participates in contract implementation efforts including building and implementing systems, tools and processes, and training to enable contract execution.

  • Understands cost accounting principles, including internal cost flows and business rules.
  • Is able to recognize and escalate items that expand beyond area of control.
  • Proactive communications and coordination with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • You have a minimum of a MBO 4 degree with 5 years of relevant industry experience or a bachelor's degree, with some years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing, Operational Service, Purchasing, Commercial, Contract Management, Finance and/or similar is required.
  • English Language skills are required, and German language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior site experience is beneficial.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Strong understanding of Customer needs and the services provided by the Dow Service Providers is beneficial.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite at a competent level (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage tight timelines, and take appropriate risks.
  • Automation experience.
  • Previous experience with SAP, Business Objects, and DSR (Diamond System Reporting) is desired.
