Regulatory Compliance Engineer is responsible for the certification of compressor related electronics products mainly for the North America market.  This position will lead the effort to ensure our products comply with the various industry safety standards.  You will work with product development and support teams to ensure appropriate and complete paperwork for submittals and help coordinate questions and answers from the regulatory approval agencies. 

As a Regulatory Compliance engineer, you will:

• Coordinate with global electronics teams to ensure global compliance and certifications of the various compressor and compressor electronics products sold by Copeland
• Work with Underwriters Laboratories and other agencies to ensure timely certifications to the appropriate safety standards
• Monitor electronics safety standards to ensure Copeland is prepared for upcoming changes
• Provide customer support for our products on standards for our electrical and electronic products.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop practical solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

• Experience with refrigerant compressor and system standards (UL 60335-2-34, et al)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field.

Flexible Work Schedule:

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
