About the role

Oracle Health is a newly established division within Oracle, focused on revolutionizing the healthcare industry through innovative technology solutions. We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer who leans heavily toward modern Front-End architecture while remaining comfortable in full-stack conversations. You will design and deliver reusable UI frameworks and voice/LLM components that downstream product teams can adopt out-of-the-box. Working hand-in-hand with Product, Design, and Agent Engineering, you will drive our roadmap from intake through sustainment and help set the technical vision for next-generation, conversational user experiences. 


Responsibilities
• Front-End Architecture – Design, build, and evolve modular, accessible, and performant web components and frameworks that speed delivery for multiple product teams.
• Solution Design & Execution – Translate PRDs into detailed UI/UX technical designs, estimates, and implementation plans; own planning, coding, code reviews, E2E testing, and production rollout.

• Roadmap Collaboration – Partner with Product, UX, and downstream teams to ensure forward/backward compatibility and a smooth hand-off across release vehicles.
• Engineering Excellence – Champion test automation, security-by-design, performance tuning, and operational monitoring; uphold Oracle Health and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
• Mentorship – Guide junior engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions; foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration – Identify and coordinate upstream dependencies and unblock delivery risks early.
• Production Support – Participate in on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to drive reliability and customer trust.

Minimum Qualifications
•    12+ years experience designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services
•    Own the complete software development lifecycle, from design, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production
•    Lead and work with distributed global teams providing mentorship and oversight
•    Leading and driving architectural design, strategy and governance for software products
•    Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
•    Proven track record developing platform or framework components adopted by multiple product teams.
•    Strong understanding of microservices architecture, event streaming, and distributed systems fundamentals.
•    Proven record of creating platform UI components or SDKs adopted by multiple product teams.
•    Deep expertise in performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design, and internationalization.
•    Experience implementing secure healthcare or other regulated workloads, including automated compliance and audit controls.
•    Effective communicator able to influence across org boundaries and present trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 

Preferred Qualifications
• Direct experience integrating Large Language Models and voice/NLP pipelines.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) and clinical workflows.
• Published contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or conference talks.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
