We are looking for a Finance Systems Architect, reporting to the Head of HR/Financial Systems to help grow and mature our Financial Technology function.  In this role you will partner closely with key stakeholders to provide technical expertise, drive efficiencies and deliver high quality technology solutions, aligning to our overall Financial Technology roadmap.  Your role is key to Airtable’s future financial systems architecture and success.

What you'll do

• Lead the Financial Systems strategy and roadmap for GL/AP, partnering with key leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment to business needs and improvements
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert, performing comprehensive evaluations and delivering well-informed recommendations
• Own and support the maintenance of system configuration, including set-up, changes, and upgrades
• Design and develop technical solutions with future proof design, by leveraging technology to drive efficiencies for process and data challenges 
• Establish partnerships with third party vendors to ensure effective service delivery
• Create a focused customer service function with the goal of producing a seamless, excellent user experience for all users and partners

Who you are

• Knowledge of overall finance and operational business processes, with in-depth knowledge of financial accounting & reporting, and accounts payable processes
• Extensive experience analyzing complex Financial-related business processes and configuring financial systems functionality to enable those processes
• 5+ years of experience in financial systems supporting finance, accounting, FP&A teams
• 3+ years of hands on experience with Workday Financials, ideally with the following areas; FDM management, account posting rules, composite reporting, supplier accounts, business assets, banking and settlement
• Experience with any of the following applications or areas is a plus:  Adaptive Insights, Expensify, Zip, Workday; accounting center, business assets, procurement
• Understanding of SOX compliance, SDLC, and control audits
• Demonstrated experience in project planning and execution having successfully completed projects on time and with value

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills and experience. The base salary range for this role is  $192,000 - $249,000 for work locations in San Francisco, and Mountain View. Our total compensation package also includes the opportunity to receive benefits, restricted stock units, and may include incentive compensation.
